MRO Materiel Demand Planner

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for an MRO Materiel Demand Planner based in Sevilla (Tablada). The role ensures the full performance of demand anticipation for aircraft maintenance events, turning technical publications into material supply and repair forecasts.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse material data from historical maintenance events to build a knowledge base of scheduled and unscheduled demands.
• Create a method and algorithm to generate a Bill of Materials (BOM) for future maintenance events, then check its accuracy against real consumption data to improve predictions and material availability.
• Define internal processes and KPIs tailored to each customer's needs to run and monitor spare parts stock and the pool of repairable items.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Physics.
• Strong knowledge and experience in supply chain and logistics (APICS, logistics certifications); inventory management experience appreciated.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to handle large data sets, solve complex problems and work accurately in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Access.
• SAP R/3 (logistics-production module) at expert level, with experience in production, planning, inventory and purchase order transactions.
• Nice to have: Visual Basic or other programming languages, basic database knowledge, statistical and probabilistic background, and PMP/L-BIP project management knowledge.
