.NET Development Lead

About the role

A global engineering team at IQVIA is looking for a proactive .NET Development Lead based in Madrid. The role covers designing, developing, reviewing and maintaining .NET applications while working with cross-functional teams across time zones. It includes owning and reviewing designs and code, mentoring the team, following security best practices and handling production issues, including during off-hours.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain applications with .NET technologies (C#.NET Core/.NET 4.8+, ASP.NET MVC/Web API)
• Review and analyse existing codebases, and drive design and code reviews with hands-on testing
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application issues, including monitoring live environments, root cause analysis and off-hours incident support
• Collaborate with global teams across time zones and with Development, QA, DevOps, Product and other engineering roles
• Support release and deployment processes, analyse release workflows and contribute to CI/CD improvements and automation
• Keep stakeholders updated on progress, risks and dependencies

Required profile

• Fluent verbal and written English and excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking and ownership of deliverables
• Flexibility to work across global time zones and willingness to work in an on-call or off-hours support model
• Direct interaction with customers and a focus on service reliability

Required skills

• C#.NET Core/.NET 4.8+, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, Visual Studio, Azure Functions
• SQL Server / Azure DB, Entity Framework or similar ORM, RESTful APIs
• Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and branching strategies
• CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins, and build/release processes
