New Product Development Program Manager - Additive Manufacturing

About the role

HP's Additive Manufacturing business is looking for a New Product Development Program Manager in Sant Cugat del Valles. The selected person oversees the entire new product development process, from ideation and conception through design, validation, launch and stabilization, and reports to the Head of the AM Program Management Office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the multi-disciplinary cross-functional program team (Product Management, R&D, Operations, Customer Assurance, Quality, Finance, etc.) and chair the Program Business Team.
• Develop and maintain a detailed program schedule following the HP AM Product Life Cycle, monitor progress and handle deviations.
• Consolidate staffing and expense plans, challenge efficiency and monitor actuals against the plan.
• Define product requirements (features, functionality, cost, quality) and run periodic scope reviews and change management.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and communicate status, risks and next steps to management stakeholders.
• Maintain program information such as PLC checkpoints, requirements and decision logs, and share best practices and program management tools across the team.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering, Science or Business.
• 5+ years of direct experience in New Product Development environments; experience in several business functions is valued.
• At least 2 years of project management experience on medium/large projects, with proven risk management and status reporting.
• Experience working with other organizations, internal and external to HP AM.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, resilience under pressure, and a pragmatic, customer-focused approach.
• Nice to have: knowledge of the 3D printing market and HP's Additive Manufacturing technology, experience as a people manager or team lead, and experience leading teams in stressful situations.
