About the role
National Geographic is looking for a highly organized Non‑Linear Scheduler to support the planning and execution of its non‑linear programming strategy across EMEA. You will build and maintain monthly programming plans, coordinate content availability, manage metadata and VOD workflows, and ensure timely, accurate content launches across multiple markets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain monthly non‑linear programming schedules aligned with strategy and audience goals.
- Build and manage programming plans within scheduling systems, ensuring accuracy and on‑time delivery.
- Curate content collections and thematic initiatives to maximise audience engagement.
- Identify suitable catalogue and library content while respecting rights and licensing windows.
- Coordinate content availability, metadata, localisation and delivery timelines across territories.
- Manage VOD ordering processes and support monthly content launches.
- Validate metadata for accuracy and compliance with operational requirements.
- Partner with local markets, Operations and Client Services to implement programming plans.
- Contribute to programming discussions, content reviews and planning activities.
- Support accessibility initiatives and simultaneous multi‑market launches.
Required profile
- First experience in TV programming, programming planning, content scheduling or a similar media environment.
- Strong understanding of content planning, scheduling, rights management and metadata workflows.
- Experience with VOD, streaming platforms or non‑linear content services.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
- Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with excellent organisational skills.
- Passion for television, factual content and audience engagement.
