Odoo Software Engineer - Finance System

About the role

Miratech, a global IT services and consulting company, is looking for an Odoo Software Engineer in Malaga to help shape its group finance system. The role builds, maintains and extends the new finance system on Odoo 20, with customisations, integrations and data migration, and uses AI coding tools in day-to-day development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Odoo customisations (backend and frontend) for finance and project-management systems, including a custom expense application.
• Build and maintain integrations with business applications such as Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho and banking systems.
• Migrate historical data using scripted, repeatable loads validated against the source, through dry runs and at cutover.
• Build and maintain testing pipelines, including test and mock data.
• Work daily with the Odoo Functional Consultant on requirements and with the Project Manager on estimates, progress and risks.
• Keep technical documentation up to date and support the system after go-live.

Required profile

• 3+ years of commercial Python development, including 2+ years building custom Odoo modules on recent versions.
• Experience integrating Odoo with external systems via REST APIs and Odoo external APIs, with robust error handling.
• Hands-on experience with data migration projects, including validation and data quality assurance.
• Strong testing discipline, including automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, and ability to deliver independently.
• Professional proficiency in English and Ukrainian.

Required skills

• Odoo backend (ORM, inheritance, security, reports, scheduled actions) and frontend (OWL, JavaScript)
• PostgreSQL, Git, Linux, Docker and Odoo deployment and maintenance
