Office Lead / General Manager – Engineering Site Cádiz

About the role

A client of Avomind is setting up a new engineering site in the Cádiz region and is looking for an experienced Office Lead / General Manager to lead and develop the location. You will be supported by a technical team lead with many years of experience in the company's products.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage an engineering site in the Cádiz region.
• Integrate the site and team into the wider group, especially the engineering organization.
• Own business planning, results and reporting, including monthly and annual profit and loss statements, to reach company goals.
• Build, discipline and develop the local team, including coordinated project and personnel planning.
• Develop local growth strategies together with the parent company.
• Set up a regional network for acquiring new customers, orders and funding opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree in business or engineering with at least five years of management experience.
• Spanish nationality, or at least 10 years of residence in Spain.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• High level of commitment, leadership skills, reliability and excellent communication skills.
• Nautical background and experience in the Spanish shipyard or marine environment are advantages, as is knowledge of German.
