About the role

A Machine Operator will maintain and operate a variety of machines and equipment, including hand tools, to carry out routine tasks. The role also involves installation, visual inspection, and set‑up of machines and equipment within expected quality and safety guidelines. Machines may be manual or computerized.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain machines and equipment, including hand tools.
• Move materials and parts using power lift trucks and forklifts.
• Ensure a smooth flow of production and solve production or technological problems.
• Install, visually inspect, and set up machines and equipment according to quality and safety guidelines.
• Read and follow route sheets/blueprints and adhere to all safety procedures.

Required profile

• Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or related environment.
• Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions and basic shop math skills.
• Self‑motivated, works well in a team, and able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lb.
• HS Diploma / GED or 0‑2 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Machining or similar field experience.
• Use and interpretation of precision measuring instruments.
• Basic computer skills.
• Forklift certification.
