Operations Lead, Spain

About the role

Eucalyptus, part of Hims & Hers, is the world's leading consumer healthcare platform, supporting patients across several countries. Juniper, its Spanish business, has just launched and is looking for an Operations Lead to take it from its first patients to a reliable, scalable service. You will lead day-to-day operations for the Spanish business, with the Prescriber, Medical Support and Patient Experience teams reporting to you, and you will own the daily operational relationship with partner pharmacies. It is a hands-on, zero-to-one role.

Key responsibilities

• Own patient operations: run delivery across onboarding, consultations and ongoing support, coordinate handovers to partner pharmacies and remove the root causes of patient delays.
• Lead the local team: set priorities, allocate work, hire, coach and manage performance, and plan staffing and cover as demand grows.
• Run the pharmacy partnership: act as the day-to-day operational contact, run launch-phase check-ins and monthly reviews against a shared scorecard on handovers, dispatch, delivery, order accuracy and query response times, and share demand forecasts early.
• Build the operating system: turn lessons from the first patients into SOPs, training and a Spanish-language knowledge base, track quality, turnaround, satisfaction, retention and cost to serve, and keep costs within budget.
• Scale responsibly: work with Clinical Governance and Legal to turn approved requirements into auditable processes, and ensure incidents and complaints are escalated, documented and closed out.

Required profile

• 5+ years of real operational accountability, launching a new market or service or scaling a complex customer-facing operation.
• Background in high-growth scale-ups, consulting or investment banking, or similar; a clinical qualification is not required.
• Hands-on: able to investigate backlogs, troubleshoot handovers, build staffing plans and write and test workflows.
• Has hired, developed and led teams with clear expectations and a practical approach to performance.
• Fluent in Spanish and English, based in Spain.

Required skills

• SQL or a BI tool such as Sigma
• Excel or Sheets for building and stress-testing models
• Uses AI tools in work and encourages the team to do the same

The role reports to Alejandro Ugarte Limer, Head of International Expansion, and works closely with Spain's commercial leadership and international teams. Experience in digital health, healthcare services, subscription businesses or other regulated environments is valuable but not essential.
