Operations Specialist

About the role

BMAT Music Innovators connects music usage data with the information needed to identify rights holders and support accurate royalty distribution. It is looking for an Operations Specialist in Barcelona who enjoys analysising how things work, solving complex problems and finding better ways to get things done. The role sits at the intersection of clients, data, operations and technology, assessing customer needs, coordinating operational delivery and collaborating with technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Learn the services and operational workflows, understand client needs and ensure reliable execution.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Analyse datasets, find inconsistencies, uncover root causes and turn findings into improvements.
• Identify repetitive tasks, streamline inefficient workflows and implement automation with relevant teams.
• Work with clients, Operations, Engineering and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve service delivery.
• Look for ways to reduce operational effort and improve quality as services and customer needs evolve.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in project management, technical account management or client support in technical environments.
• Highly organised multitasker with strong attention to detail, initiative and entrepreneurial attitude.
• Excellent decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving; comfort with large amounts of data and numbers.
• Fluency in English is a must; proficiency in Indonesian or Filipino is a plus.
• Based in Europe or the APAC region.
• Knowledge of music publishing and internal CMOs documentation and distribution processes is highly desired.

Required skills

• Technical literacy: following technical discussions, understanding backend/frontend systems and data pipelines, reading and writing technical documentation.
• Coding experience is welcome but not required.
