Pastelero/a – Royal Hideaway Corales Resort

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Pastry Chef to join the Royal Hideaway Corales Resort in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. You will be part of the hotel’s culinary team, creating a wide range of desserts, pastries and baked goods that meet the resort’s high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all dessert and sweet recipes, pastries and doughs according to technical sheets and the established menu rotation.
• Ensure smooth operation of the pastry section, reporting to the Head Chef.
• Assist with cost control, inventory management and purchasing for the pastry and bakery area.
• Carry out cleaning, storage, cooking, regeneration and replenishment processes for pastry products.
• Prepare and arrange items for buffets, banquets and special events.
• Receive and store food supplies following established standards and orders.
• Follow all safety, hygiene and legal regulations in daily tasks.

Required profile

• Formal training: Higher‑level culinary or pastry degree (Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior) and HACCP course.
• Minimum one year of experience in a similar pastry position.
• Ability to work in a team, handle stress and solve unexpected issues.
• Attention to detail and creativity in pastry preparation.

Required skills

• HACCP (food safety) knowledge.
