PCB Signal and Power Integrity Hardware Engineer

About the role

Teradyne, a global test and automation specialist, is looking for a PCB Signal and Power Integrity Hardware Engineer in Costa Roca. The engineer works with hardware design and PCB layout teams to solve high-speed signal and power integrity challenges and meet demanding specifications. The role supports floorplanning and routing constraints, runs simulations to catch issues early, and builds scripts and utilities to streamline Cadence tool setup and engineering workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop custom code, scripts and software utilities to streamline Cadence tool setup and improve engineering efficiency.
• Support PCB layout by evaluating floorplanning and stack-up trade-offs and defining routing constraints.
• Collaborate with hardware circuit design teams on high-speed signal integrity and power integrity issues.
• Organize and run high-priority simulations to find and fix design problems before and during board bring-up and design verification.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• English proficiency.
• At least 5 years of experience in the required tools and theory.
• Preferred: experience with MATLAB, Python, Tcl or similar tools; lab measurement experience; leading a team or owning a project.

Required skills

• Cadence, Ansys, Mentor Graphics or Keysight signal extraction tools (e.g. Allegro, Sigrity, HyperLynx, EM Pro, SI Pro).
• Transmission-line theory, frequency and time domain evaluation, and electromagnetic fields.
• Preferred: MATLAB, Python, Tcl.
