Plant Human Resources Manager

About the role

Exide Technologies is seeking a Plant Human Resources Manager for its Automotive division in Azuqueca de Henares, Spain. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will deliver day‑to‑day operational HR services, ensure compliance with Exide policies and local labour legislation, and act as the primary HR partner for plant employees.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational HR advice and guidance to all plant staff in line with company policies and Spanish labour law.
• Manage relationships with the Works Council and trade‑union representatives, participating in national‑level social dialogue.
• Plan and coordinate headcount and resource allocation to meet business needs.
• Lead organisational change projects, including restructurings and business initiatives, ensuring legal compliance.
• Produce HR metrics and KPIs to monitor workforce effectiveness.
• Handle employee‑relations matters, lead collective‑agreement negotiations, and manage grievances or legal processes.
• Support managers in recruitment, selection, and talent‑acquisition decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish labour legislation and collective‑bargaining processes.
• Ability to work effectively with works councils, trade unions, and senior plant leadership.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
