Platform Engineer – Renewable Energy Data Platform

About the role

As a Platform Engineer at Asset Ocean, you will help build and operate the data platform that powers renewable‑energy decision making for Encavis. Working in a small, fast‑moving team, you will own critical DevOps and data‑engineering components that enable reliable, scalable, and secure data access across solar and wind farms.

Key responsibilities

• Own CI/CD pipelines, release processes and QA automation to ensure fast, reliable product delivery.
• Support the data team by improving dbt automation, warehouse scalability and shared tooling.
• Establish system reliability and observability standards (SLIs, incident response) to reduce operational issues.
• Implement strong security practices, including secrets management, dependency scanning and least‑privilege access control.
• Design and build scalable platform components such as messaging systems, event buses and integration layers.
• Integrate AI‑driven solutions into platform development and explore innovative approaches.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience operating platform, DevOps or SRE systems in production.
• Strong background in CI/CD processes and infrastructure‑as‑code, preferably on Azure.
• Ability to design cloud architectures and collaborate closely with developers on system design.
• Experience with data platforms, data warehouses or supporting data engineering teams.
