Portuguese Payroll Implementation Specialist

About the role

SD Worx Iberia is expanding in Spain and seeks a Payroll Implementation Specialist to help Portuguese clients implement and optimise their payroll processes, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the implementation phase.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the intermediary between the client and the technical implementation team.
• Gather and review client requirements, agree on system configuration, and support system testing (unit testing and parallel payroll runs).
• Support data migration activities and, when workload allows, participate in payroll consultant tasks such as new hires, employee changes, incidents, terminations, and payroll calculations.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in payroll administration and Portuguese labour legislation.
• Degree in Labour Relations or an IT‑related qualification (valued).
• Strong interest in HR, payroll administration, and employment legislation.
• Analytical mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to work accurately and organised.
• Assertive communication skills and a good sense of humour.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Portuguese labour legislation.
• Familiarity with payroll software, preferably Milena.
