Powerplant Engineer – Aircraft Engines & APU Specialist

About the role

As a Powerplant Engineer at Volotea, you will ensure the performance and reliability of our fleet’s engines and auxiliary power units (APUs). You will work closely with maintenance, planning and operations teams to optimise maintenance strategies, forecast shop visits and support continuous improvement of engine health monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, review and distribute OEM documentation such as ADs and VSBs.
• Issue engineering orders and bulletins and manage technical documentation for the fleet.
• Support maintenance of CFM56‑5B engines, 131‑9A and APS3200 APUs and their nacelles.
• Forecast and track engine and APU shop visits and prepare related work packages.
• Perform reliability analyses, engine health monitoring and assess maintenance programme effectiveness.
• Manage phase‑in and phase‑out of engines, including end‑of‑lease documentation.
• Provide technical support to Planning, MCC, Transitions and occasional aircraft base maintenance.

Required profile

• Experience with commercial aircraft engine and APU maintenance.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive attitude towards cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
