Privacy Counsel (Associate)

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for an (Associate) Privacy Counsel to join its Global Data Protection Team at the Glovo office in Barcelona. The role sits in the global Legal, Governance and Assurance team and supports the data protection office, giving proactive legal guidance that aligns business goals with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Advise internally on data protection matters under frameworks such as the GDPR, and give risk-based privacy advice on new products, initiatives and operational changes
• Draft and negotiate DPAs and intra-group data transfer agreements, conduct privacy due diligence for third-party providers and handle privacy due diligence in M&A contexts
• Support data mapping, documentation of data processing activities and data protection impact assessments
• Develop, implement and maintain global privacy policies, notices and internal procedures
• Support communications with the group's management board, supervisory board and business leadership
• Run privacy maturity audits and manage investigations or proceedings with data protection authorities, including mitigation plans
• Monitor AI governance developments and help improve AI governance frameworks

Required profile

• Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience in data protection/privacy or related areas
• Law degree or equivalent, at least a bachelor's level
• Excellent English; Polish, Spanish or German is a plus
• Experience advising online technology and data-driven businesses across jurisdictions is a plus
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, proactive and able to work across teams

Required skills

• Certified expertise in EU privacy laws (IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM, TÜV DPO, etc.) is a plus
• Privacy contracting, risk management and data protection impact assessments
