Privacy Legal Advisor

About the role

HP is looking for an experienced privacy professional to join its Trust and Privacy Organization in Barcelona. The role blends privacy counsel and advisory duties, providing risk‑based legal guidance to Business Units and Global Functions across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver privacy legal advice on a wide range of data‑protection topics.
• Review, draft and negotiate privacy‑related contractual clauses, including DPAs and data‑sharing agreements.
• Maintain and update HP’s standard privacy contract templates.
• Support privacy risk assessments, PIA/DPIAs and breach response activities.
• Guide stakeholders on data‑subject requests and regulatory obligations.
• Collaborate with legal, cybersecurity, compliance and business teams to embed privacy by design.
• Monitor evolving privacy laws and assess their impact on HP.

Required profile

• Law degree (or equivalent) with 7‑10 years of privacy and data‑protection experience.
• Background in law firms, in‑house legal departments, regulatory bodies or mixed advisory roles.
• Proven ability to translate complex privacy requirements into practical business guidance.
• Strong judgment and comfort working in a fast‑paced global environment.
