Private Finance Operations Specialist – Portfolio Management & BI

About the role

The Ecosystem Building and Acceleration (EBA) Division of IDB Lab is seeking a dynamic professional to lead the Portfolio Management and Business Intelligence function across Latin America and the Caribbean. The role supports ecosystem development initiatives, non‑reimbursable technical cooperations, and financing mobilization.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse portfolio performance, KPIs, results frameworks, project status, trends and data quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct portfolio analyses, including legacy assessments, repayment projections, financial outlooks, leverage metrics and risk classification.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports, strategic insights and donor updates for senior management and internal stakeholders.
• Enhance portfolio tools, dashboards, reporting platforms and monitoring frameworks to improve operational analytics.
• Support risk management by identifying emerging issues, contributing to asset oversight and coordinating corrective actions with supervision teams and partners.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, business administration, public policy or a related field.
• At least four to five years of professional experience in portfolio management, financial analysis or risk management, preferably within development finance or multilateral institutions.
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis and reporting in a complex, multi‑country environment.
