Process Engineering Intern - HP Additive Manufacturing

About the role

HP Barcelona, a large R&D centre serving as the global headquarters for the Large Format Printing and 3D Printing Business Units, is looking for a Process Engineering Intern in its Additive Manufacturing organisation. The internship is paid, runs from February to June-July 2027 and lasts between 4 and 12 months, with part-time (4 h/day) or full-time (8 h/day) schedules.

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in a university in Spain, stay enrolled until the end of the internship, and be able to sign an internship agreement with your university. You must be available to start in February 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and manage operational process performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for business improvement
• Support forecasting, budgeting and cost planning
• Contribute to operational excellence initiatives on cost optimisation, process improvement and scalability across manufacturing sites
• Analyse data and turn it into actionable insights for efficiency, customer experience and profitability
• Assist with project management: tracking actions, monitoring milestones, keeping documentation and supporting key deliverables
• Build cross-functional relationships and contribute to global initiatives in Additive Manufacturing Supplies & Services
• Expand knowledge of HP Multi Jet Fusion technologies and industry trends

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, project management skills and good communication in multicultural teams

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or programming (Excel advanced functions, Power BI, Python) is a plus
