Quality Engineering Intern

About the role

HP is looking for an engineering student interested in engineering, quality, business analytics, data visualization and continuous improvement to join its Global Engineering & Quality team in Sant Cugat del Valles. The internship runs from February to June-July 2027 and offers hands-on experience in Engineering, Quality Operations, Business Analytics and Microsoft Power BI on real business challenges. Candidates must be currently enrolled at a Spanish university, stay enrolled until the end of the internship and be able to sign an internship agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Support engineering and quality initiatives on product quality, repair operations, service readiness, process effectiveness, cost reduction and performance monitoring.
• Document processes, methodologies, lessons learned and best practices, and contribute to business reviews, project updates and management presentations.
• Help standardize processes, reports, dashboards, templates and documentation, and build common reporting frameworks and KPI definitions.
• Use Microsoft Power BI to build dashboards and reports, analyze performance data, automate recurring reporting and define standard metrics and KPIs.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Data/Business Analytics or a related technical field.
• Analytical mindset, strong communication skills and ability to work in an international, cross-functional environment.
• Interest in process improvement, standardization and data-driven decision making.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Excel and data analysis.
• Interest in developing Microsoft Power BI, data visualization and reporting automation skills.
• Exposure to Power BI, Power Query, databases, programming, statistics, engineering projects or quality methodologies is a plus.
