Procurement Manager - Site & Maintenance Services

About the role

Clariant, a global specialty chemicals company, is looking for a Procurement Manager for Site & Maintenance Services to join its regional procurement team in Tarragona or Barcelona, Spain. You will manage a substantial regional procurement portfolio and develop sourcing strategies for the STEP category (Site & Maintenance Services, Technical Equipment and Packaging), reporting to the regional Category Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, execute and develop regional sourcing strategies for site & maintenance services
• Negotiate and conclude contracts and supply agreements for a delegated portfolio of regional services
• Manage procurement for CAPEX projects, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery
• Drive measurable savings through strategic procurement projects
• Use Clariant procurement tools such as SAP, SLM, Pinpools, QNS, contracts and EcoVadis
• Research the market to find new suppliers and alternative sourcing options, and monitor market developments
• Build and manage supplier relationships, ensure performance and compliance, and collaborate with internal stakeholders
• Support category strategy development and comply with procurement standards and ethics

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Operations or Procurement, or an Engineering, Chemical or Technical degree with a solid commercial background
• 2+ years of experience in a business function, preferably procurement or supply chain
• Experience writing, reviewing and negotiating supply and service contracts
• Analytical, problem-solving, and strong communication and negotiation skills
• Integrity, compliance awareness and teamwork across functions and countries

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP, especially procurement modules
• Solid command of MS Office
• Fluent English; German is a significant advantage
