Procurement Operations Manager

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a Procurement Operations Manager to lead and continuously improve its procurement operations within the Global Procurement team in Barcelona. The role combines operational leadership, people management, analytics and process excellence, with a focus on efficient, compliant and scalable procurement services. You will lead a team of procurement professionals and work closely with Procurement, Finance, Technology and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement operations, ensuring efficient, accurate and compliant execution of processes, including purchase requisition to purchase order.
• Lead, coach and develop the team, setting clear objectives and fostering ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Own operational KPIs and SLAs, using data and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends and drive improvement actions.
• Develop reporting and turn procurement data into actionable insights for leadership and key stakeholders.
• Identify and lead opportunities to simplify, standardise, digitalise and automate procurement processes.
• Partner with Technology and other teams on process and system enhancements, from requirements and testing through implementation and adoption.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, approval requirements and internal controls, supporting governance and audit readiness.
• Manage complex operational issues and escalations, driving root-cause resolution.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a key partner to Procurement, Accounts Payable, Finance Systems and the business.

Required profile

• Experience in Procurement Operations, Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay or a comparable operational environment, ideally in an international organisation.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, systems, governance and controls.
• Experience leading process improvement, digitalisation, automation or transformation initiatives.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills across functions and organisational levels.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP Ariba and SAP is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel and BI/reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication skills.
