Production Manager - Viana

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for a Production Manager for its Viana plant, which produces Oreo, Chips Ahoy! and Fontaneda cookies. The site has 7 production lines and more than 500 people, and the manager reports to the Plant Director and leads a team of Line Managers, Technical Leaders and Process Engineers. The role covers safety, quality, productivity, volumes, cost, sustainability and morale, and is part of a regional business model managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH.

Key responsibilities

• Lead production operations and deliver SQCDSM targets, ensuring the manufacturing strategy is implemented effectively.
• Drive change and transformation in the IL6S Integrated Lean Six Sigma journey and the Factory of Future Line organisation (autonomous maintenance, progressive maintenance, integrated six-star model).
• Coach Line Leaders, cascade plans and targets, and build a governance system for performance review, control and continuous improvement.
• Support the annual operational plans and targets for safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability and engagement.
• Ensure manufacturing standards, governance and compliance (corporate quality, food safety and GMP, health, safety, security, environment, local legal requirements, internal audit) are in place, understood and monitored.
• Lead talent, capabilities and engagement for the manufacturing team, and partner with multi-functional peers.

Required profile

• Fluent Spanish and fluent English.
• Ideally experience in the food or FMCG industry; other manufacturing environments are welcome.
• Experience negotiating with Spanish unions.
• Engineer with strong financial and business acumen, project management skills and knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
