Production Support Operator

About the role

The Production Support Operator ensures smooth manufacturing operations by performing a range of support tasks such as cleaning, marking, packaging, deburring, grinding, and operating specialized equipment. The role works with diverse materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, brass, copper, composites and more.

Key responsibilities

• Clean parts, apply markings and package components according to the Manufacturing Plan.
• Deburr and grind parts using files, grinding wheels, tumblers and deburring cloth.
• Operate tumblers, sand‑blasters and other support equipment safely.
• Follow lean principles and maintain a 6S workplace daily.
• Record data on a computer terminal and complete Manufacturing Plans with clear penmanship.
• Adapt shift schedules, stay late or modify hours when production deadlines require.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; 1‑3 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
• Good verbal and written English communication.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, lift up to 35 lb and work 8‑10 hours per day.

Required skills

• Use of micrometers and calipers.
• Data entry on computer terminals.
• Basic math calculations.
