Production Support Operator – Second Shift

About the role

The Production Support Operator on the second shift ensures that components moving through the manufacturing line are cleaned, marked, packaged and prepared for the next production stage. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you will handle a variety of materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium and composites while following lean and 6S principles.

Key responsibilities

• Clean parts and perform part marking according to the Manufacturing Plan.
• Package components and prepare them for downstream processes.
• Deburr and grind parts using files, grinding wheels, tumblers and deburring cloths.
• Operate equipment such as tumblers and sand blasters safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records by entering data into the computer terminal.
• Adhere to safety rules, lean philosophy and 6S daily.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; 1‑3 months manufacturing experience preferred.
• Good basic math skills and ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and organize work for efficiency.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat and lift up to 35 lb for most of the shift.
• Capability to work in a 75,000 sq ft two‑story facility and handle solvents and dust.

Required skills

• Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Use of micrometers and calipers for measurement.
• Data entry on computer terminals.
• Manual dexterity with hand tools such as files, grinding wheels, tumblers and deburring cloths.
