Project Manager – Automotive Lighting

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Project Manager for its Martos plant, a key site within the Visibility Systems Business Group that designs and manufactures advanced lighting products for the automotive industry. You will work in an international, multicultural environment, collaborating with major car manufacturers to deliver innovative lighting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure project performance targets (quality, cost‑profitability, delivery timing) meet Valeo and customer expectations.
• Analyse customer requests from RFQ through all changes and coordinate communication within the team and related projects.
• Define internal activities, set timing (Level 1), and maintain regular progress updates with the customer.
• Prepare and submit budget documents (CAA, IAR), perform cost estimation and define offer strategy.
• Validate project timelines, monitor team activities, and propose scenarios to achieve milestones.
• Control daily and weekly project routines, resolve issues, and escalate gaps when needed.
• Track project KPIs (profitability, quality, production preparation) and report status to management.

Required profile

• Engineering or Master’s degree.
• 5‑7 years of product development experience, including 2‑3 years in a project development function.
• Experience in related functions such as quality, process, sales, or purchasing (at least two).
• Strong financial understanding of product cost structures and pay‑back analysis.
• Knowledge of automotive product development processes.
