Project Test Engineer – Space Systems

About the role

Airbus CRISA is hiring Project Test Engineers for its space programmes in the Madrid area. The role is part of the project team and is responsible for defining and executing test strategies to verify that electronic units meet customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Define test strategies and verification plans from negotiation phase through flight acceptance.
• Lead and supervise test engineers and technicians during integration, qualification and acceptance campaigns for flight models (EQM, QM, PFM, FM).
• Collaborate with Technical, Project, Product Assurance, Industrial and Validation managers to ensure design robustness.
• Monitor deviations, manage risk, and ensure verification activities meet schedule and cost targets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering or science.
• At least five years of experience in validation and verification of electronic units.
• Negotiation‑level proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Strong communication, reporting and customer‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Electronic unit validation and verification.
• Test automation scripting and digital workflow tools.
• Advanced test instrumentation and data management.
• Knowledge of space environment constraints and European space regulations (ESCC, SMD).
• Agile methodology experience.
