Provider Claims Representative

About the role

Cigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is hiring a Provider Claims Representative in Madrid. The role involves analysing and processing medical expense claims within set turnaround times, with a hybrid arrangement of four days at home and one day in the Madrid office.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and process medical expense claims while keeping strict medical confidentiality.
• Enter data accurately into PC and mainframe applications.
• Apply analytical thinking to cost management and process optimisation.
• Monitor workload to keep chronology and processing timelines on track, and take corrective action when needed.
• Work with the Supervisor on unclear claims and suggest process improvements.
• Communicate dossier details accurately to internal stakeholders, identify procedural irregularities and escalate them, and raise concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent experience (for example in accountancy, mathematics, foreign languages, administration).
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of other European or Asian languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work with numbers, accuracy, discipline, efficiency, teamwork and discretion with confidential information.
