Purchasing Intern

About the role

The Hoxton, Poblenou, an 11th Hoxton hotel in Barcelona with 240 bedrooms, a restaurant, rooftop pool and events space, is looking for a Purchasing Intern. Reporting to the Back House Manager, the intern supports the day-to-day purchasing of food and non-food items for 5-6 months starting in November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries against quantity, quality and delivery conditions.
• Keep storage areas organised and monitor stock levels and par stocks.
• Manage requisitions, delivery notes and transfers through Adaco.
• Oversee Food & Beverage and non-F&B orders, considering operational needs and costs.
• Ensure products are stored and rotated correctly under FIFO and HACCP standards.
• Review stock levels and product availability daily and anticipate the needs of outlets and departments.
• Coordinate the preparation and delivery of internal orders and work with Kitchen, Bars, F&B and Operations teams.
• Support monthly inventories, ad hoc stock analyses and departmental cost reporting.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management or Tourism.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Passion for hospitality, a positive attitude and a team player.
• Detail-oriented and able to motivate others to high service standards.
