Food & Beverage Operations & Administrative Intern

About the role

SLS Barcelona, a five-star urban resort on Barcelona's waterfront, is looking for a motivated Food & Beverage Operations & Administrative Intern. Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Management team, the intern gains hands-on experience across all F&B outlets while learning the administrative and commercial side of hotel operations. The position suits someone wanting to combine operational exposure with administrative work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the F&B leadership team, including daily, weekly and monthly operational reports
• Maintain and update menus, product information, pricing and POS systems
• Help with departmental documentation, procedures, internal communications and management presentations
• Support the preparation and maintenance of team schedules and staffing plans
• Support daily operations and service delivery across several F&B outlets
• Greet guests warmly and by name, escort them to their table, provide chair assistance and present menus
• Collect guest information for seat arrangements and serve food and beverage orders according to recipes and service standards
• Keep the team working smoothly and support brand standards and service excellence initiatives

Required profile

• Studying a bachelor's or master's degree in hospitality or a related field
• Ability to sign a school internship agreement for a preferred period of 6 months
• Excellent verbal and written communication in Spanish and English
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
• Quick to learn and adaptable to the SLS Barcelona culture

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of hotel food & beverage systems and software is a plus
