Quality Assurance Manager – Europe

About the role

ThermalWorks LLC is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to act as the technical quality authority across European manufacturing sites, customer field locations, and internal quality control functions. The role bridges manufacturing, field service, and quality leadership, ensuring that mission‑critical mechanical systems meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support factory quality for new and existing production, performing first‑article inspections and reviewing assembly, wiring, piping, and commissioning documentation.
• Coordinate findings with factory leadership, flag hold conditions, and produce written reports for the Director of Quality.
• Conduct on‑site QA/QC inspections at customer data‑center locations, verify equipment installation, commissioning, and service work.
• Drive 8D problem‑solving for technical customer issues and collaborate with engineering and operations on corrective actions.
• Generate customer‑facing reports such as Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action Plans, and Technical Bulletins.
• Participate in internal QC meetings, present trends, and maintain a log of open quality items.
• Collaborate with technical support to identify recurring field issues and improve inspection checklists, SOPs, and QA/QC documentation.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with mission‑critical mechanical systems, especially hydronic cooling, chiller platforms, and data‑center infrastructure.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems and related quality processes.
• Ability to travel 20‑40% across Europe and work onsite in Barcelona, Madrid or Bilbao.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for reporting to senior leadership.
