Quantity Surveyor

About the role

AECOM is looking for a Quantity Surveyor in Madrid to support its cost management team. You will deliver accurate and reliable cost estimation, budgeting and procurement services for government, industrial, commercial, residential and infrastructure projects, national and international. Working under the guidance of other team members, you will prepare budgets, cost reports, specifications and tender documentation, and gain experience across cost management and procurement as part of a structured career path.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and financial reports.
• Support the preparation and follow-up of cost control, tender documentation and procurement processes.
• Use BIM 5D, Presto and other digital tools to collect, analyse and present cost data.
• Keep cost data up to date and aligned with project objectives with project teams.
• Apply company-wide procedures for cost control and reporting.
• Support value engineering and risk analysis exercises.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Technical Architecture, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering or a related discipline.
• Up to 3 years of professional experience in cost management, quantity surveying or a related role.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, spoken and written, is essential.
• Previous exposure to international projects is a plus.

Required skills

• Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and project planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of Presto, Cost-It and BIM 5D tools.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
