R&D Test Engineer – Engine Testing

About the role

We are seeking an R&D Test Engineer to join our team in Bermeo, Spain. The role focuses on planning, preparing and executing engine test campaigns on advanced engine platforms, ensuring accurate data collection and safe operation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and carry out engine tests under various load and running conditions, complying with test protocols.
• Collect, monitor and analyse test data, identify anomalies and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with plant personnel, instrumentation & measurement teams and external experts to secure resources and ensure system readiness.
• Lead and supervise the mechanic‑operator team, assigning tasks and maintaining training on engine setup and test methodologies.
• Enforce safety protocols, proactively identify risks and ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in progress meetings with the Manager Engine Testing to review requirements and align priorities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in engine testing processes.

Required profile

• Technical background combining mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem‑solving skills.
• Initiative, adaptability and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in engine testing or similar R&D environments is preferred.
