Real Estate Lawyer – Barcelona

About the role

AX Partners is seeking a Real Estate Lawyer to join its Barcelona office on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support throughout the life‑cycle of residential and hospitality investments, ensuring compliance with Spanish and EU regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate purchase agreements, lease contracts, development agreements and financing documentation.
• Conduct legal due diligence on properties, evaluating title, zoning, planning and regulatory risks.
• Advise the investment team on transaction structures and regulatory implications.
• Coordinate with external counsel, notaries and other advisors to manage closing processes.
• Prepare legal reports, memos and documentation for internal stakeholders and investors.
• Support dispute resolution and contribute to the improvement of internal legal templates and processes.

Required profile

• Law degree (LLB or equivalent) and admission to practice law in Spain.
• Strong expertise in Spanish real estate law, particularly for residential and hospitality assets.
• Solid background in corporate and contract law with experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements in both English and Spanish.
• Experience in real‑estate investment or private‑equity environments, including legal due diligence and transaction structuring.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing alternative investment funds and cross‑border transactions.
