Reception Supervisor

About the role

The Hoxton, Poblenou in Barcelona, the group's 11th Hoxton hotel, is looking for a Reception Supervisor. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will be the first face guests see, delivering a friendly, helpful and responsive service that treats every guest as an individual. The hotel has 240 bedrooms, a restaurant, a rooftop pool, a lobby, an events space and a meeting venue.

Key responsibilities

• Handle guests' arrival and departure, checking that all bills are correct and contain no surprises.
• Work with all teams to keep operations running smoothly and support the Front Office Manager with overbooking levels.
• Answer phones, handle requests and give guests recommendations on shows and restaurants in the area.
• Inspire receptionists to deliver a memorable guest experience from arrival through to checkout.
• Keep the team motivated and informed of day-to-day activities.

Required profile

• Previous hotel (or similar) experience, ideally having led or supervised a team.
• Fluent Spanish and English; Catalan and additional languages are highly valued.
• Positive attitude towards people, teamwork spirit and willingness to try new things.

Required skills

• Previous experience with Opera PMS is an advantage.
