Recreation Manager

About the role

The Recreation Manager supports the Director of Recreation in overseeing the pool and beach areas of a resort in Palma de Mallorca. The role ensures daily maintenance, cleanliness, and smooth operation of cabana units while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule recreation staff, covering duties in their absence.
• Maintain pool and beach facilities, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate and run guest programs such as sand painting, bonfires, team‑building events, and children’s activities.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, including water‑sports and scuba providers.
• Order, inventory and distribute supplies, equipment, tools and uniforms needed for operations.
• Plan and schedule events, programs and activities for guests.
• Provide exemplary customer service, modeling behavior for staff and addressing guest needs promptly.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least one year of recreation/health‑club experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Health Education, Physical Education, Hotel & Restaurant Management or a related field.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours and handle multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
