Regional Network Engineer - Networking

About the role

APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations and part of the A.P. Moller-Maersk Group, is seeking an experienced Regional Network Engineer to support one of its IT Hubs. The role covers network infrastructure across regional terminal operations and contributes to the modernization, standardization and security of the networking environment. It involves working with global technology teams, operational stakeholders and third-party partners to deliver reliable network services.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the availability, stability and performance of terminal networks across the region.
• Resolve network incidents and service requests using ServiceNow and other service management tools within agreed service levels.
• Execute global network change programs while maintaining effective change management and minimizing service disruption.
• Maintain secure network configurations aligned with APM Terminals standards, policies and security requirements.
• Use monitoring tools to provide visibility of network performance and support proactive operations.
• Troubleshoot network and communication issues with global teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Create and maintain network flow diagrams, topology and application communication documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and implementing secure LAN, WAN and WLAN solutions.
• Hands-on experience in Cisco environments, with a CCNA certification as a minimum; CCNP is highly preferred.
• Experience supporting OT networks, with Siemens Scalance knowledge an advantage.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls; relevant certifications preferred.
• Ability to work with multiple vendors, third-party providers and internal stakeholders, and to manage several projects and incidents at once.

Required skills

• Cisco environments and CCNA (CCNP preferred)
• Wireshark and similar network diagnostic tools
• Network monitoring platforms such as Cisco Prime, SolarWinds or Zabbix
• Wireless networking, including 802.11 and Private LTE
