Remote Accountant (Spain) – International Finance

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join a fast‑growing international finance team. The role is fully remote, based in Spain, and focuses on supporting multi‑jurisdictional accounting operations using automation and AI‑driven tools.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions accurately in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and maintain data integrity.
• Perform reconciliations for AP, AR, fixed assets, banks, payroll, and intercompany balances.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements (VAT, corporate tax, statutory statements).
• Assist with statutory reporting, financial statement preparation and audit support.
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Leverage automation and AI tools to enhance accounting workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Post‑qualification accounting experience in a corporate or international environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Available to work within EMEA time zones.
