Retail Associate – 24-hour Store

About the role

Columbia Sportswear Company, with more than 430 retail stores worldwide, is hiring a Retail Associate for its store in Oviedo. The associate acts as a brand ambassador, delivering exceptional in-store experiences through positive customer interaction, answering questions, making product recommendations and helping the store leadership team support the company's mission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product features, benefits and availability, and by understanding customers' needs and preferences.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness and safety, and retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room or other inventory locations.
• Process all cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges, loyalty programme sign-ups) accurately and efficiently.
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing and processing incoming and outgoing product flow.

Required profile

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years or less of experience in a position or specialization.
• Aged 16 or older.
• Ability to move around actively in a physical environment, lifting items up to 40 lbs, and occasional exposure to dust and noise.
• Clear communication with others and a flexible schedule, which may vary seasonally and according to local business trends.

Required skills

• Operating inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Using other retail software tools.

Expected pay is 1,247.64 EUR for full-time positions; new hires are usually paid the hiring rate of the specific store, and prior experience is taken into account.
