Risk Operations Specialist

About the role

Join Bill Gosling Outsourcing as a Risk Operations Specialist and help protect the company and its customers by reviewing accounts, transactions, and financial activities. You will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while delivering accurate, well‑documented risk decisions in a fast‑paced fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct KYC/KYB onboarding reviews and verify customer information.
• Perform Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) assessments.
• Review sanctions alerts and screening results against OFAC and global watchlists.
• Investigate disputes and chargebacks, documenting findings.
• Analyze customer accounts, transaction limits, deposits, and over‑limit activities.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and defensible case narratives.
• Escalate complex or ambiguous cases according to established policies.
• Maintain detailed audit trails and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Meet quality standards while supporting service‑level expectations.
• Cross‑train across multiple Risk Operations functions as business needs evolve.

Required profile

• 1+ years of experience in Risk Operations, Fraud, AML, KYC, Compliance, Banking, Fintech, or Financial Services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
