Sales Associate

About the role

Columbia Sportswear Company, with more than 430 retail stores worldwide, is hiring a Sales Associate in Las Rozas (Madrid). As a brand ambassador, the associate creates memorable customer experiences by answering questions, making product recommendations and helping the store leadership support the company's mission of connecting active people with their passions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about product features, benefits and availability, and by understanding customers' needs and preferences.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness and safety, and retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room or other inventory locations.
• Process cash register transactions such as sales, returns and exchanges, and connect customers to the loyalty program.
• Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing and processing incoming and outgoing product flow accurately and efficiently.

Required profile

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 years or less of experience in a position or specialization.
• Age 16 or older.
• Ability to move around in an active, sometimes physically demanding environment, including lifting items up to 40 lbs, and occasional exposure to dust and noise.
• Clear communication with others and a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally.

Required skills

• Operating inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Using other retail software tools.
