Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

Join Socialpoint’s Central Analytics team in Barcelona to build high‑quality data marts, tools, and AI‑powered workflows that shape player experiences and drive game growth. You will work with experienced Analytics Engineers and collaborate closely with game and marketing analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Write and optimise complex SQL queries for experimentation and feature engineering on large‑scale player datasets.
• Design, build, and maintain cross‑game data marts delivering clean, transformed data for analysts.
• Develop scalable, reusable code, tools and frameworks adopted across multiple game teams.
• Partner with game analytics teams to co‑design and maintain data products used in various applications.
• Build and maintain end‑to‑end AI pipelines that support day‑to‑day analyst tasks.
• Share knowledge by educating analysts on coding and software‑engineering best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics).
• Advanced SQL skills, including CTEs, query optimisation and experience with large data warehouses.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production data pipelines using tools such as Airflow, Docker, S3 and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong Python programming ability for production‑level analytics solutions.
• Basic to intermediate experience with large language models or generative AI tools.
• Collaborative team player who communicates openly and builds trust.
• Fast learner able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
