Senior Android Engineer – Platform (Barcelona)

About the role

We are expanding our Android Platform team in Barcelona and are looking for a Senior Android Engineer to shape the foundations of our mobile ecosystem. You will tackle large‑scale engineering challenges, working on build systems, developer experience, CI/CD pipelines, modularisation and release infrastructure for a product used by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain the Android build system and tooling.
• Improve developer experience, CI/CD automation and release processes.
• Drive modular architecture and scalability across a 10‑year codebase with 50+ modules.
• Collaborate with product and mobile teams to ensure performance and reliability at massive scale.
• Contribute to platform‑level initiatives such as Gradle optimisation and infrastructure tooling.

Required profile

• Several years of experience building Android platforms or large‑scale mobile infrastructure.
• Passion for solving platform and DevEx problems rather than feature delivery.
• Strong product‑driven mindset with focus on scalability, autonomy and technical excellence.
