Senior Associate - Employment Lawyer (Labour Litigation)

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring a Senior Associate - Labour Litigation for its HQ Legal Team in Barcelona. You will be a senior individual contributor who owns high-stakes, strategically critical labour litigation and collective labour matters, mainly in Spain, acting as a frontline labour lawyer for complex disputes, interactions with labour authorities and legal strategy with real operational and reputational impact.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and advise on contentious labour litigation, mainly in Spain
• Define and execute legal strategy for high-risk labour disputes, including those with collective implications
• Manage external labour law firms independently: instructing, negotiating fees, litigation strategy, pleadings and hearings
• Own every case, manage deadlines, next steps and legal risk
• Act as key legal contact for labour authorities and inspections
• Interpret and apply collective bargaining agreements and labour regulations
• Advise internal stakeholders on complex employment decisions such as disciplinary actions, dismissals and sanctions

Required profile

• Law degree obtained in Spain and qualification to practice law
• Clear specialization in Labour / Employment Law
• 7+ years of professional experience practicing labour law
• Proven experience in labour litigation and exposure to collective labour matters (unions, works councils, collective disputes)
• Full professional fluency in Spanish and English
• Preferred: experience with labour vs self-employed reclassification, administrative litigation or Social Security matters, and prior in-house experience in complex environments (logistics, retail, tech)

Work arrangement

• If based in Madrid: hybrid, 6 days a month (3 Mondays and 3 Tuesdays) in the Barcelona office, travelling if required
• If based in Barcelona: hybrid, 3 days a week in the HQ office
