Senior CAD Technician - Bridges & Structures

About the role

AECOM is looking for a Bridge & Structures CAD Technician with a strong background in civil infrastructure, particularly in the design and delivery of bridges and structural works. You will join the design and engineering team and contribute to landmark projects for public and private clients in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply project-specific CAD standards and drafting procedures.
• Produce 2D and 3D design drawings from sketches, mark-ups, engineering notes and design specifications.
• Use collaborative platforms such as ProjectWise and BIM 360.
• Perform self-check reviews of drawings to ensure quality and compliance with QA/QC procedures.
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed teams while working independently and with a high degree of autonomy.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Technician/Drafter on bridge and structural projects.
• Certified technical education in Drafting Technology, Technical Institute studies, Vocational Training or an equivalent qualification.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under demanding project deadlines.
• Previous experience on projects in the United States, Canada or Australia is highly valued.

Required skills

• Advanced AutoCAD 2D proficiency.
• Experience with Bentley ProjectWise and/or Autodesk Revit.
• MicroStation CAD is an asset.
