Senior Compliance and Assurance Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level professional to lead the strategic evolution of our Cyber Security Compliance Management team at BASF Digital Hub in Madrid. The role combines compliance oversight, offensive security initiatives and the introduction of AI‑driven automation to enhance efficiency and reporting quality.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive end‑to‑end process optimisation across offensive security and compliance management.
• Manage external providers throughout the lifecycle – from selection and budgeting to capacity planning, quality assurance and phase‑out.
• Develop and maintain structured documentation and centralised reporting repositories for assessment outputs.
• Identify, design and pilot AI and automation use cases that reduce manual effort, such as automated compliance reviews and report generation.
• Lead the transition from pilot to production, ensuring stakeholder alignment, governance and sustainable operations.
• Prepare concise, action‑oriented communications for stakeholders and senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Security or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in cyber‑security compliance, offensive security or related assurance roles.
• Proven track record of managing external service providers and delivering process improvements.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate technical findings into business‑focused recommendations.
