Senior Consultant, Capital Markets Retail Transactions

About the role

JLL is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Capital Markets Retail Transactions practice in Madrid. The consultant prepares investment sales advisory packages and submissions for commercial retail real estate transactions, underwrites deals using market and JLL data, manages due diligence and works closely with clients and the team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare investment sales advisory packages and submissions, including research, financial modeling and executive summaries.
• Build complex financial models and use market and JLL data to underwrite transactions.
• Manage the due diligence process and drive the marketing and closing of each transaction, keeping the team and client informed.
• Use the marketing process information to help clients decide on their business plan and capital structure.
• Review real estate documents such as leases and appraisals to identify issues and concerns.
• Start building a client network in the retail industry through meetings, events and trade organizations.
• Take part in weekly team meetings on deal flow, deal status, market conditions and new client leads.
• Work with the Marketing team on InDesign and PowerPoint presentations for pitch books and offering memoranda.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Finance degree or 1-3 years of experience in a financial analysis role; commercial real estate experience preferred.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong writing, research, analytical and problem-solving skills, able to work independently while being a team player.
