Senior Cost Manager

About the role

RLB is recruiting a Senior Cost Manager to be based at its Madrid or Barcelona office, with hybrid working. The role sits within a team responsible for the commercial and contractual performance of projects, supporting the business objective of delivering value for money. It offers the chance to work across the hospitality sector now, and later also in commercial, life sciences and industrial sectors as the European business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Be an integral part of a team accountable for the commercial and contractual performance of a project.
• Support business objectives of delivering value for money in all circumstances.
• Carry out assigned duties efficiently and in line with processes and procedures.
• Comply with established commercial, procurement and contractual strategies.
• Take responsibility for complying with environmental, health, safety, security and quality standards.
• Handle cost planning and estimating, as well as post-contract and procurement duties.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar construction-related technical discipline; MRICS or membership of another relevant professional body, or a desire to attain it.
• Quantity surveying or cost management experience in the hospitality sector.
• Proven technical and project delivery experience, previously in a consultancy, contractor, developer or client-side organisation.
• Stakeholder management with a focus on developing client accounts.
• Team management experience.
