Senior Credit Risk Portfolio Analyst

About the role

ING is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Portfolio Analyst to join its Retail Credit Risk team within ING Retail Risk. The team oversees the risk of the Spanish retail lending portfolio throughout the credit lifecycle, working in small specialist areas with continuous interaction with international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the risk management of the Spanish portfolio, especially for personal loans, through reporting, monitoring and communication.
• Help identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adequate capital and provisions and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Promote growth of the personal loans portfolio together with the product and business side, in a profitable and sustainable way.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Business, Statistics, Mathematics or Econometrics.
• Proven experience in risk management for retail lending portfolios, especially personal loans; consumer lending for business banking customers is also valued.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, independent, creative and proactive, eager to lead projects.
• Fluent English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of statistics and/or mathematics.
• Programming in SAS and SQL.
• Knowledge of macroeconomic trends, banking and the financial industry.
