Senior Cyber SOC L2 Security Analyst (SIEM/EDR/NSM)

About the role

EY is looking for a Security Analyst with expertise in SIEM, EDR and NSM solutions to join its cyber security team in Malaga. Working as a Senior analyst, you will assist clients in detecting and responding to security incidents, supported by their SIEM, EDR and NSM solutions. The position is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Operational support using SIEM (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale), EDR (CrowdStrike, Defender, Carbon Black) and NSM (Fidelis, ExtraHop) for multiple customers
• Second-level incident validation and more detailed investigations
• Coordinate incidents and communicate with clients so that containment, eradication and recovery are effective
• Provide ad hoc reporting and basic troubleshooting for SIEM support
• Advise customers on best practices and use cases to meet their end-state requirements
• Provide near real-time analysis, investigation, reporting, remediation, coordination and tracking of security-related activities

Required profile

• B. Tech. / B.E. degree with sound technical skills
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR and NSM solutions
• Certification in a SIEM platform and in one of CCSA, CEH, CISSP, GCIH or GIAC
• Ability to work in 24x7 shifts and strong verbal and written English
• Customer service orientation, ability to work with minimal supervision, and strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Required skills

• Good knowledge of SIEM technologies (Splunk, Azure Sentinel, CrowdStrike Falcon LogScale) and troubleshooting of SIEM issues
• Security monitoring and cyber incident response experience
• ELK stack, network monitoring platforms (Fidelis XPS, ExtraHop) and endpoint protection tools (Carbon Black, Tanium, CrowdStrike, Defender)
• RegEx, Perl scripting and SQL
• Exposure to IoT/OT monitoring (Claroty, Nozomi Networks) is a plus
